In short: Linen stores what it needs to run its features, like server settings, moderation cases, and logs your server turned on. We never sell data. Card details stay with Stripe.
1. What Linen stores
Linen only sees what Discord shows it in servers it's in. Depending on which features a server uses, it stores:
- Discord IDs and names of servers, channels, roles, and users, so settings and records point to the right place.
- Server settings: prefixes, aliases, permissions, auto-mod rules, log channels, welcome messages, and everything else set up with commands.
- Moderation records: cases (who was punished, by whom, why, and when), notes, flagged messages for review, appeals, and staff strikes and vouches.
- Logs, if a server turns them on: edited and deleted messages, deleted images, member joins and leaves, role and channel changes, and invite tracking. These are kept for 30 days, or 180 days with premium, then deleted.
- Activity counts for stats commands: how many messages and how much voice time members have, not the messages themselves.
- Things you save: AFK notes, reminders, highlights, birthdays, time zones, tags, tickets and their transcripts, giveaway entries, and game stats.
- Usage and errors: which commands are used in which server, and error reports (with the command and who ran it), to fix bugs and improve Linen.
- Payments: for premium, the server, who bought it, the plan, amounts, and Stripe's customer and subscription IDs. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach Linen.
Linen VC stores temporary voice room settings. Linen Music stores queues and settings while it plays, plus server settings.
2. Why
Only to run Linen's features, keep servers safe, handle premium, and fix problems. We don't sell data, use it for ads, or build profiles of people.
3. Who it's shared with
Data is only shared with the services Linen needs to work:
- Discord, which runs the platform everything happens on.
- Stripe, which handles premium payments.
- Anthropic, which runs the AI behind AI chat (premium). When someone talks to AI chat, their message, their display name, the recent conversation, and basic server info (name, prefix) are sent to Anthropic to write the answer. Anthropic doesn't use this to train its models.
- Sightengine, which checks images for explicit content when a premium server turns on image scanning. Only the image is sent.
- Lookup services like Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, and Roblox, when someone uses a social lookup command. Only what's being looked up is sent.
- DigitalOcean and Cloudflare, which host the bots and this website.
We'd only share anything else if the law requires it.
4. How long it's kept
- Logs and saved images: 30 days, or 180 days with premium.
- Usage counts, error reports, and the admin activity log: cleaned up over time, usually within about 90 days.
- AI chat conversations: kept only in memory so replies can continue a chat, and gone when the bot restarts. Linen saves only how many answers each server used.
- Settings and moderation records: until a server's staff remove them, or you ask us to delete them.
- Payment records: as long as needed for accounting and tax.
5. Your choices
- Server staff can change or turn off any feature, including logging and AI chat, with Linen's commands.
- Removing Linen stops it from seeing anything new in that server.
- To see or delete what Linen stores about you or your server, DM udirty on Discord. We'll answer within 30 days. Some records, like payments, may have to be kept for legal reasons.
6. Security
Data is stored on a private server that only Linen's creator can reach. The admin panel requires signing in with the creator's Discord account. No system is perfect, but we keep access tight and keys out of the code.
7. Children
Linen is for people old enough to use Discord where they live. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think we have, DM udirty on Discord and we'll delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when. Big changes will be announced on this website.
